Imaginary is a psychological horror movie that explores the power of the mind and the consequences of childhood trauma.

The movie, directed by Jeff Wadlow (Cry Wolf, Kick Ass 2), stars DeWanda Wise (Jurassic World Dominion) as Jessica, a young woman whose stepdaughter Alice (Pyper Braun) may be being led astray by an imaginary friend that lives inside a stuffed bear named Chauncy from Jessica’s childhood. Often, movies that deal with imaginary childhood friends often touch on trauma topics such as alcoholism and domestic abuse, so go into this one cautiously if these things are likely to be triggers for you.

The Alien franchise is back with a new instalment that takes the action to a distant planet. For a franchise that can’t seem to commit to a story arc, we are always excited to see what the movies will deliver.

Alien: Romulus, directed and co-written by Fede Alvarez (Evil Dead 2013) and co-written by Rodo Sayagues (Don’t Breathe), stars Isabela Merced (Madame Web), Cailee Spaeny (The Craft: Legacy), Archie Renaux (Shadow and Bone), and David Jonsson (Murder is Easy) as a group of young explorers who encounter the most terrifying life form in the universe – the Xenomorph. As always with Alien movies, expect lots of chest bursters, high-suspense moments, and a peek into the galaxy beyond Earth.
